Running: Accessories For Ease

If you’re anything like me, running attire has a tremendous impact on the outcome of your run. It took me some time to find the perfect set up, however, after some trial and error I found it! I love running with practical accessories and desperately needed to move past the annoying velcro arm case. Below, I included some of my favorite discoveries that help make my runs smooth:

Running Belt: When these first became popular, I was so against this idea since they reminded me of the cheesy fanny pack. After this trend seemed to really take off I decided to try it out! The belt I used now is from Stay Fitted Running and it’s seriously a game changer. The belt is made out of a stretchy fabric that easily slips over your running pants or shorts. Since the belt hugs tightly around your waist, it does not easily ride up when running. There are multiple pockets including two large ones in the front and back along with small pockets on the sides. I always keep my phone in the front pocket and keys on the side when running outside. I also wore this belt during the New York City marathon and stored honey packets in my belt to keep my energy high!

Belcorva Pocket Pants: In addition to the belt, I recently discovered leggings that have pockets built right into the side of the pant leg. This feature makes it easy to carry around any additional belongings needed if the belt isn’t something you want to add to your wardrobe. I recently got my first pair from Belcorva which I absolutely love! The fabric is snug and stretchy which holds your items perfectly in place during your runs.

Wireless Headphones: I’m old school when it comes to this topic and still like running with a wire attached to my headphones, however, I recently bought a pair of wireless Beats to try. Personally, I always find my wire getting tangled and in the way causing me to become distracted while running. This wireless solution will help the focus remain on your run and not so much the interference from the wire. Most brands now offer a wireless option and definitely recommend trying a pair out.

Great post. Here is a dumb question on the running belts. What do you put in them? I found when I used them, maybe I put too much in them and the weight of what was inside, caused the belt to slide down. Are they supposed to do that? Needless to say, I don’t use them anymore.
Also I am a huge fan of wireless headphones. I have a pair of Jaybird 3’s that are awesome!

Thank you! Not a dumb question at all! I normally keep my phone and keys in it while running the one I mentioned in my post is great! It doesn’t slide down for me. I’ve heard great things about that brand I’ll have to try it out 😊
